Baxter planning commission recommends 2026–2046 Comprehensive Plan, asks that zoning map be updated
The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended that the Baxter City Council adopt the City of Baxter 2026–2046 Comprehensive Plan after a final review, conditioning the endorsement on updating the current zoning plan. A MIPA representative delivered the plan overview and no written comments were received during the public hearing.

The Planning and Zoning Commission of Baxter on Sept. 22 unanimously recommended that the Baxter City Council adopt the City of Baxter 2026–2046 Comprehensive Plan, contingent on an update to the city’s current zoning plan. Chairperson Justin Smith opened and closed the public hearing and the commission completed a final review before voting.
