The Ford County Zoning Board approved a conditional use permit and development plan for Boot Hill Energy Storage LLC’s proposed lithium battery storage facility on Feb. 23, 2026. Kevin Walter presented the proposal for a battery-storage installation to serve the Boot Hill Solar Farm; the approval motion, moved by Jolee Chris Coles and seconded by Rodney Taylor, passed 3–0.
