Fairfax Academy launches full electrical construction and engineering pathway
School leaders said the academy added an electrical construction and engineering pathway this year with multiple sections (levels 1–3), rapid enrollment that left wait lists, and plans to accelerate certification through alternating coursework and field experiences.

Andrea Cook told the board the academy began an electrical construction and engineering pathway during the current school year and that student interest has been strong enough to expand beyond an initial single section. "We were initially gonna start with just a few classes, but we are full with 6 sections, including level 2 and 3," Cook said, and she noted a continuing wait list.
