The full story
The commission granted a negative determination of applicability for a Massachusetts Electric Company (National Grid) utility maintenance project on Douglas Drive after hearing from Ali Connors of Stantec. Connors told the commission the work involves replacing a single utility pole within the existing paved roadway with an auger truck, digging about 6 feet for a pole footing and causing about 4 square feet of ground disturbance. She said the pole will include an early fault detector, a control cabinet, and monitoring equipment installed from a bucket truck and that disturbed areas will be restored to preexisting conditions.
