The Lawrence County Commission voted unanimously Aug. 8 to adopt its FY26 budget, including a 3% cost-of-living adjustment for all county employees and elected officials. Chairman Nathan Kitchens presented the budget and recommended approval; Commissioner Norman Pool moved the motion and Commissioner Dana Charles seconded.
