Clay County's IT director, Scott Hill, briefed commissioners on a proposed early renewal and bandwidth increase with Sparklight. Hill said the county's current circuit has experienced increased load from livestreamed meetings, body‑cam uploads, cloud-based phone service and other systems, and that Sparklight offered a plan to quadruple bandwidth for roughly an additional $100 per month.
