Thomas County recognizes Street-to-Station EMT/Firefighter training cohorts
The board recognized Emergency Services personnel and introduced members of the Street-to-Station 2025 and 2026 classes, noting that five students hired in 2025 began EMT school in January 2026 and that several students are being cleared to ride trucks.

Vice-Chair Donnie Baggett recognized Emergency Services Director Derrick Ogletree, who introduced Lieutenant Derrick Knight and members of the county’s Street-to-Station training classes. The minutes record that the 2025 class was hired in September 2025 and that the January 2026 cohort began EMT school; the list of attendees named Clayton Taylor, Montana Manley, Satchel Goodrich and Brett Gillard (2025) and Christian Owens, Nathaniel Walker, Jalandon Revels, Zachary Bryant, Quinshard Barnes, Lorey Buckner and Jasmine Brooks (2026).
