At its Aug. 11 meeting the Thomas County Board of Commissioners unanimously selected Shawn Boatright as the finalist in the county manager search; the board heard that 31 applications were received and five candidates were interviewed.

The Thomas County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 11 unanimously selected Shawn Boatright as the finalist in the county’s search for a new county manager. Chairman Mark NeSmith announced the choice and the board voted on a motion from Commissioner Donnie Baggett, seconded by Commissioner Phillip V. Brown.
