The Johnson County Commissioners voted Aug. 24 to appoint Jody Alvey to a vacant seat on the Health Human Services Inc. board, filling the remainder of the late Ron Deere’s term. The Chair announced the nomination and asked for approval; a motion and second were recorded and the appointment was approved by voice vote.
