Valley County approves lot-coverage variance with stormwater conditions
Commissioners approved a variance allowing 50.9% lot coverage for a proposed home in Crain Shores subdivision, subject to an on-site stormwater management plan and other agency requirements.

Planning staff presented variance 206-7 for 16 Golden Eagle Court in Crain Shores Subdivision, where the applicant sought to increase maximum lot coverage from 35% to 50.9% to accommodate a large residence and substantial impervious surfaces. Staff noted the lot is a flag lot, driveway configuration constrains buildable area, and multiple agencies (Central District Health, airport manager, DEQ) had either no objections or standard comments.
