Albany County ratified a $335,000 Community Development Block Grant (through 08/30/2028) to support demolition of the Thunderbird Motel and approved issuing an RFP for asbestos (RACM) abatement and demolition services.

County staff said the CDBG agreement with the Wyoming Community Development Authority to tear down the Thunderbird Motel has been finalized and requested ratification so the county can post an RFP for asbestos abatement and demolition. The board ratified the agreement for $335,000 and authorized advertisement for the RFP.
