County staff presented a proposed renewal of the consulting contract with Madden Gallantor Hansen, PLLC, covering labor negotiations, arbitration and litigation representation. The contract rates begin at $240 per hour (rising to $250 on June 4, 2027); arbitration and administrative hearing representation carry an additional hourly premium. Staff said those hourly rates are in line with what other Minnesota counties pay.
