The Whitley County Council unanimously adopted the Solid Waste 2027 budget (Ordinance 2026‑13) and later approved an additional appropriation of $33,950 for current‑year expenses. Committee members discussed a proposed 3% cost‑of‑living increase for Solid Waste employees and agreed to send the question to the personnel committee for recommendation.
