The commission declared an engineering plotter surplus after staff explained the device is no longer supported by the manufacturer and parts are not available. Patrick of the engineering department told commissioners the plotter "stopped being supported by HP a year ago October, and they no longer make parts for it," making it impractical to donate for extended use.
