Council approves Decorah Tech contract, schedules server replacement ahead of Oct. 1 end-of-life

Decorah Tech presented an IT assessment to the City Council that identified several programs nearing end-of-life and security risks in the City Hall environment. Travis Huinker of Decorah Tech recommended replacing the server as soon as possible because it is scheduled to reach end-of-life on October 1, 2026. The council authorized signing a contract for services with Decorah Tech and to replace the server, with funding to come from the Contingency Fund.
