The commission approved a package of budget amendments and community grants, including school and library funding, reappointments to the E-911 and Electric System boards, and a $5,000 contribution to Savanna’s Grace.

Benton County commissioners approved a series of routine budget adjustments, reappointments and community contributions at the Sept. 21 meeting. DOS Mark Florence presented multiple school-related budget entries, including $5,000 from a TNworks apprentice grant, $10,741.11 from TN Risk Management for an intercom, $296.41 in a Capital One refund allocation, and $41,782.64 from a State Special Education Preschool Grant for staff and contracted services. Several of those school items were approved by roll-call votes as recorded in the minutes.
