Commission OKs $4,580 Jail Fire-Protect Upgrade and $15,880 Fence Replacement for Vice Narcotics Building
Following a Moulton Fire Department inspection, the commission approved a $4,580 FirePro quote for jail fire-protection upgrades and a $15,880 Castro' Fencing quote to replace storm-damaged fencing around the vice narcotics building; both motions passed unanimously.

The commission approved two sheriff-department capital expenditures tied to facility safety and security. On recommendation from Chief Deputy Brian Covington after a Feb. 26, 2025 fire inspection by the City of Moulton Fire Department, the commission accepted a FirePro quote of $4,580 to address documented fire hazards at the Lawrence County Jail.
