Residents, council members praise candidate forums and local exchange programs

Public comment and council remarks at the start of the meeting emphasized civic engagement and community programming. A resident who identified himself as Mike said he attended the Palmer Rotary candidate forum and outlined plans for longer interview segments on local radio: "my name is Mike, and I live here somewhere in beautiful downtown Palmer... We, as Big Cabbage Radio, will be interviewing, the people who are running for the contestant seat." He encouraged voters to listen to the forums and longer interviews ahead of the October election.
