Residents press Pickens County Council to review library programming and materials
Dozens of residents addressed the Pickens County Council on Feb. 5 about the county library. Council extended public forum, added a 'Review of Library Programming and Materials Policy' to the consent agenda and approved the consent agenda on a 5-1 vote.

At a Feb. 5 Pickens County Council meeting in the county administration auditorium, more than a dozen residents addressed the council during public forum to raise concerns related to the county library and library materials. The council voted to extend the public forum so all speakers could be heard and later added a formal review of library programming and materials to the consent agenda.
