Board approves $153,000 heat pump replacement project for county facilities
Leelanau County’s Executive Board recommended waiving bids and approved purchase and installation of 14 heat pumps for the county’s capital building fund at a cost of $153,000, with one commissioner voting no.

Facilities Director Patrick Roach and Finance Director Cathy Hartesvelt requested authority to waive bidding and purchase 14 Climate Master or WaterFurnace brand heat pumps through D&W Mechanical, with funds transferred from fund #516 DTR to capital building fund #470. The executive board recommended the motion 6–1 (Commissioner Alan Campbell voted no).
