The Middleton Arts Committee voted to select Daniel’s proposal “Reconnected” for the Pleasant Branch trailhead public-art commission after a deliberation and roll-call vote. The committee’s discussion weighed a monumental, walk‑through gateway against an alternative butterfly-field proposal; the final tally was eight votes for Daniel and one vote for Will Nematov.
