Lyon County supervisors approved a $15,000 commitment and a letter of support for the Doon Community Center’s Enhance Iowa Attraction & Tourism grant application, contingent on the grant award; funds will come from the county’s Economic Development Fund.

Lyon County Economic Development Director Steve Simons and representatives from Doon asked the Board of Supervisors on Dec. 18 for county support of a grant application to Enhance Iowa. Larry Boeve, Jerry Keizer and Tim Mantel requested a $15,000 county commitment and a letter of support to accompany Doon’s application.
