County authorizes ODOT TAP application to extend Towpath Trail to SR 416
Tuscarawas County commissioners authorized a Transportation Alternative Program grant application for a Towpath Trail extension (Kimble Trail) from Dover Dam to State Route 416; estimated construction cost is $790,598.80 and ODOT may fund up to 80% in the State Fiscal Year 2028 cycle.

The Tuscarawas County Board of Commissioners on Nov. 25 authorized the Park Department to apply for an Ohio Department of Transportation Transportation Alternative Program grant to extend the Towpath Trail (referred to as the “Kimble Trail”) from the Dover Dam to State Route 416.
