The Pine County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Feb. 4 to establish a Joint Drainage Authority with Kanabec and Isanti counties for Judicial Ditch 6 in Royalton Township. County Engineer Mark LeBrun said the authority would be able to levy assessments to properties benefiting from the ditch across all three counties; Isanti County will serve as the lead entity and employs the ditch inspector.
