Personnel Committee authorizes promotion in Health Department

The Lapeer County Personnel Committee authorized a promotion in the Health Department on July 10, 2025. Health Officer/Director Jim Henry asked the committee to approve promoting an internal Public Health Nurse I candidate to the recently vacated Public Health Nurse II/Coordinator position (Position #327, Pay Grade 21) at Step 4, effective July 28, 2025, citing the candidate’s extensive experience and work on accreditation requirements. Henry said Step 3 would have yielded only a $0.29-per-hour increase and that funds for the higher step were already budgeted in the Health Department.
