Planning board asks commissioners to allow certain adjacent property swaps without a variance
Candler County staff asked the Planning & Zoning Board to recommend that commissioners amend Section 801 of the zoning ordinance to permit adjacent property swaps that combine nonconforming parcels into a conforming tract; the board voted 4-0 to recommend the change.

County Administrator Bryan Aasheim asked the Planning & Zoning Board to recommend an amendment to Section 801 of the Candler Zoning Ordinance that would allow adjacent property swaps without requiring a variance if the swap results in a conforming parcel. PZ member Jeff Register moved for the recommendation, Jill Powell seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.
