Council extends ESI building-inspections contract through 2027

Council considered a contract amendment to extend the town's building-inspections consultant (ESI) through 2027 rather than issuing a short-term extension to year-end. Speaker 7 explained the amendment and said the contractor has been responsive: "Our contract with our consultant that's doing building inspections was for 6 months, and we have reached that time period. So I would like to extend that contract and do an amendment... I'd like to just extend that to 2027. So what I've prepared and Dustin has reviewed, does that for you." Speaker 7 added that the contractor conducts plan reviews quickly and follows up on failed inspections.
