County engineer reports progress on 2024 overlay, bridge and gravel projects
County Engineer Nick Bergman told commissioners on June 11 that paving and shouldering are complete on eight 2024 overlay projects, box culvert work is entering pre-construction, the Ihlen stone arch bridge work is underway, and gravel crushing should finish June 13–14.

County Engineer Nick Bergman updated the Pipestone County Board on road and bridge work on June 11, saying crews have completed paving and shouldering for eight 2024 overlay projects and that painting and striping remain. Bergman said the Stone Arch Bridge project at Ihlen is in progress and that the 2024 box culverts (Contract 1 to A&C Excavating) are in pre-construction with a contractor meeting to be scheduled.
