Staff briefs council on comparative utility and solid-waste rates; presentation is informational

City staff delivered an informational presentation comparing enterprise-account rates (water, wastewater, solid waste) across regional municipalities. Zach told the council the analysis ranks jurisdictions by cumulative rate and cited examples: "The most expensive being Parker and Collin County with the cumulative weight... Rate for water, wastewater, and solid waste at $203.62. The cheapest municipality, cumulatively is Sherman at $82.41." He said the analysis used current rates supported by ordinances or resolutions and that staff had reached out to those entities to confirm numbers.
