County study session outlines draft code updates to streamline permitting and protect environment

County staff and the consultant told the board the purpose of the EIS is to create a clear code framework so applications can be evaluated consistently and county expectations are defined for studies and mitigation. Clay White described that outcome as wanting "code set up to be able to efficiently process, clean energy permits, where you are applicants know what's expected of them in terms of application requirements, mitigation studies" (as presented to the board).
