Dean presented a draft plaque program for Salinas that he said he developed from San Juan Bautista’s program and by using an AI tool to collate scattered guidance into a template covering bronze, aluminum and wood plaque materials and sample outreach language. He told the board the AI produced a plausible template and a sample letter but that prices and details produced by the tool were illustrative rather than authoritative: "these prices are just for example purposes," he said.
