The Jasper County Board of Supervisors appointed Tyra Smith, RN, as the county’s Medical Examiner Investigator on Oct. 6. The minutes record: "Motion by Talsma, seconded by Cupples to appoint Tyra Smith, RN, to Jasper County Medical Examiner Investigator, following the recommendation of Dr. Patrick Edwards." The vote was recorded Yea: Cupples, Nearmyer, Talsma.
