County approves utility relocation agreements and awards bridge contract for Southeast Connector
Mahaska County approved MidAmerican Energy and Mahaska Rural Water relocation agreements for the Southeast Connector project and awarded the bridge replacement contract for County Route T67 (Rutledge Avenue), project BRS-C062(108)—60-62, to Iowa Bridge & Culvert, L.C.; motions passed unanimously.

County staff member McGuire presented several infrastructure items related to the Southeast Connector project and to a separate bridge replacement. The board approved a MidAmerican Energy gas relocation agreement and a Mahaska Rural Water relocation agreement required for the Southeast Connector; both motions were moved by Vice Chairman Steve Wanders, seconded by Chuck Webb, and carried unanimously.
