Wells County Council amended a preliminary declaratory resolution for a proposed Paddlefish solar facility to include Chester Township, adopted Resolution 2022-10 as amended for a Dec. 6 public hearing and discussed a 10-year, 100% abatement schedule; motions passed 7-0.

The Wells County Council on Nov. 9 reviewed a preliminary (declaratory) resolution related to a proposed Paddlefish solar energy generation facility and voted to amend the resolution to include Chester Township along with Liberty Township. Jesse Laniak, senior project developer with Paddlefish, confirmed Chester Township should be included. Jim Oswalt moved to add Chester Township, Chuck King seconded; the motion carried 7-0.
