McKinley Elementary Principal Shannon Bancroft, Assistant Principal Sophy Reece and five fifth‑grade students told the board about a campus program that trains older students to help younger classmates resolve disputes. Bancroft said the program aims to keep campus interactions safer and more constructive by giving younger students peer-based supports during the school day.
