Engineer: Winslow Road structure near completion; six RFPs received for new county shop
County Engineer Kathy Nicholas told the board that the Winslow Road bridge rail was poured and approaches, grading and paving remain; she said six architectural RFPs have been received for a new county shop facility and a decision is expected in the coming weeks.

County Engineer Kathy Nicholas gave a roads update at the Oct. 13 Black Hawk County supervisors meeting, saying crews have placed mile rack countywide, started ditch cleanouts and are preparing roads for winter. She said Taylor Construction has poured the barrier rail on the Winslow Road structure and the contractor still needs to install approach structures, finish grading and pave before reopening the road.
