County Administrator John Gorton presented the proposed FY 2026-2027 budget on Sept. 29, saying the "proposed balanced General Fund budget totaled $27,979,670.50," which includes $2,352,550.50 in committed Local Redevelopment Authority (LRA) funds. Excluding those committed LRA funds, the adjusted General Fund total is $25,627,120, and the budget would require $1,516,105 in fund balance to balance.
