At its Feb. 24 meeting the Meriwether County Board of Commissioners recorded the following formal actions: adoption of the agenda; approval of Feb. 9, 2026 minutes; opening of 2025 TSPLOST and 2026 SPLOST LGIP accounts; updated signer resolutions for multiple LGIP accounts; closure of the 2020 TSPLOST LGIP account with transfer of remaining funds; approval of a $1,088,903 budget amendment to fund in‑house paving; adoption of a temporary moratorium on new data‑center development (effective Feb. 24–Aug. 23, 2026); authorization to purchase SmartCop public‑safety software contingent on legal review and funding identification; and tabling of a grant‑writing proposal by Ms. Tara Coe to March 9, 2026.
