District outlines spring testing windows and recent professional development
Curriculum staff told the board SD 45 DuPage County is in a busy assessment season: NWEA for K–8, CogAT for 5th graders (2nd graders scheduled in March), ACCESS for multilingual learners and upcoming state IAR and Illinois Science Assessment windows; staff also summarized recent PD topics and teacher feedback.

Curriculum staff reported that winter and spring testing is underway and described how the assessments inform instruction. "In January, our students, in grades k 8 completed NWEA math assessments in reading and math," the curriculum presenter said, and noted assessments also included Spanish math for bilingual students and CogAT testing for fifth graders, with second-grade CogAT testing scheduled for March.
