Adair County board approves property tax suspension under Iowa Code Chapter 427.8

Treasurer Brenda Wallace told the Adair County Board of Supervisors on Jan. 29 that a taxpayer had submitted paperwork from the Department of Human Services seeking a suspension of property taxes for a parcel under state law. The board moved to sign a Tax Suspension Certificate under Iowa Code Chapter 427.8 and approved the motion after a roll-call vote: Nathan Baier, Christoffersen, Hoadley and Walker voted yes; Wedemeyer voted no.
