Van Buren County approves American Rescue Plan budget amendments, small spending transfers
The county commission voted unanimously to create ARP line items and move funds across multiple budgets, approved a $1,027 employee payout and a $2,500 payment for SCBA testing, and granted a solid-waste fee exemption. Several routine items also advanced, including a broker bid to market county property.

The Van Buren County Commission on Nov. 16 approved a package of budget amendments to create line items for American Rescue Plan funds and move monies into multiple county funds, voting unanimously on the measures at the meeting in the Administration Facility & Justice Center.
