Board approves POET valuation adjustment and tax correction

County Assessor Lynn Mussman told the board that, following discussions with POET about an appeal filed with the Nebraska Tax Equalization and Review Commission, POET accepted a 7% physical depreciation reduction based on the age and condition of the building at the plant site. The Assessor said the matter was treated the same as any other valuation protest.
