DNR honors Eau Claire County for decade in Green Tier Legacy program
The Department of Natural Resources presented Eau Claire County with a Green Tier Legacy recognition for 10 years of sustainability work; DNR praised the county for early achievement of 2030 carbon goals, solar installations, recycling expansion and sharing best practices statewide.

The Department of Natural Resources presented Eau Claire County with a Green Tier Legacy Community award and recognized county staff and the board for a decade of work on sustainability programs. Rod Eslinger, the county’s director of planning and development, introduced DNR regional director Jill Schoen, who told the board the county has been in the program since 2015 and has served as a model for peers.
