The Finance Committee of the Broome County Legislature on Jan. 15 authorized an agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. to purchase and maintain a countywide license plate reader system for Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2031. M. Kaminsky moved to amend the resolution to set a cost cap “not to exceed $644,483.75,” and L. Augostini seconded; the amendment carried 4–1 (S. Baker opposed). The resolution as amended carried 5–0.
