Consultant reports progress on flood-prediction model and sensor installations

Bailey Armstrong of Natural Resources Solutions briefed the court on the county's flood-monitoring project. She said Blackland has run simulations of recent rainfall events and that model outputs compared favorably with observed flooding, with a slight tendency to overestimate peak conditions. She told the court the team expects to make the model visible on a dashboard within a couple of months.
