Boone County approves three belly-dump trailers, delays motor grader purchase
The county ordered three 2026 belly-dump trailers from Iowa Trailer MFG Co., LLC (about $69,950 each) and approved a small Customer Value Agreement for a District 2 payloader; commissioners tabled the larger motor grader purchase and Mack truck motor decision until Aug. 27, 2025.

District road foremen Brent Pribnow, Jack Nordeen and Kent Hamilton briefed the board on staffing, a District 1 F250 scheduled for disposal, and equipment needs. Foremen told commissioners that a larger motor grader would be "more helpful when spreading material, pulling windrow out or to plow snow" while also noting additional quotes are needed for reclaimers and grader options.
