Boone County tables Stryker cot-and-loading-system purchase pending more bids
Boone County ambulance administrator reported a Stryker quote of $71,708.70 for a cot and loading system; after a sole-source letter from the vendor, the county attorney recommended seeking another quote and the board unanimously voted to table the purchase until Aug. 27, 2025.

Randall Bruland, Boone County Ambulance Administrator, told the County Board on Aug. 18 that a Stryker quote for a cot and ambulance loading system was $71,708.70 and that an earlier Fall 2024 estimate had been for a service agreement rather than equipment. "The quote received from Stryker was for $71,708.70 which is greater than the allowable amount for accepting only one bid," Bruland said.
