Kayla Matter, representing HHS, asked the Personnel Committee to reclassify three employees from the title and pay grade of Accounting Technician to Accountant I, saying the county’s current merit system job-duty requirements prevented the change but that the planned end of the merit system in 2025 would allow the county to adopt an Accountant I description developed with DDA.
