Powell County delays library board appointments after application and notice problems
At the request of a library trustee, Powell County Fiscal Court postponed appointing trustees to the Powell County Library Board until after Jan. 1 to allow more applicants to respond to a corrected public notice; the court approved the postponement 5-0.

Powell County Fiscal Court on Dec. 14 agreed to delay appointing members to the Powell County Library Board after trustee Billie Campbell told the court the Clay City Times had published incorrect notice language and some applicants had been confused about the deadline.
