Powell County accepts three major solid-waste grants and approves land lease for composting
Fiscal Court authorized grant paperwork for composting ($278,576.79), recycling ($249,912.23) and a $24,000 waste-tire grant; it also approved a five-year $5,000/year land lease to host composting operations. Grants are 75/25 matches (in-kind allowed).
